MARIE THE HAWC REVIEWS: STACEY KAY

Hey yall,

It's been a while, and i'm just popping by to say hello, and drop a real short review.

Last week, i had a nerdy night out and went to the ROM on Friday night. It's basically a big ol' dance party, with food (that's kinda expensive), drinks (couldn't afford any, but that's another story) and dinosaur bones.

I had the pleasure of seeing Stacey Kay perform, and i wanted to share that with you guys. I lost my program, otherwise I would fill you in on who the dude who was accompanying her on the piano was. For those of you who may watch Canadian Idol, she was on there at one point, and I believe she was a finalist, but I pay no attention to that show so, that's all I can tell you about that.

I saw two sets, which were a mix of her original songs, pop/r&b by artists like Jessie J and Alicia Keys, and some classic jazz/swing music. The girl sings with soul and character, and gives off such a friendly and positive vibe. Not only did I enjoy the music and singing, but her personality as well. Anyways, over and out people. Check out her gangsta ukelele song right here to get a apiece of the fun.
